The Lithuanians, who fought worthily in the armies of other countries

Written by

Lithuania's Ministry of Defense seeks to gather information about Lithuanians by birth or by origin that fought and distinguished themselves in the military forces of other countries and were rewarded signs of recognition since year of 1795 until nowadays.

The Ministry is interested in the military situations, for which Lithuanians were rewarded, description and photographs. There might be books written about them or their own memoirs.

“Any help from you can become an important contribution to the history of Lithuanian Armed Forces. I believe that Lithuanians should know about their gallant deeds, especially in the education of our young people,” Lieutenant General Arvydas Pocius, Chief of Defense of Lithuania said.

All contributed historical materials will be given to the Vytautas the Great Military Museum in Kaunas.
