Every week or so, LTUworld invites someone on the globe to be a #proud2bLithuanian: sole ruler of @proudLithuanian Twitter account.

For seven days or longer, someone will tweet why she or he is #proud2bLithuanian - perhaps because Lithuania is a free nation, or because it has world-class basketball, or perhaps because of our values: dedication, hard work, volunteerism, sacrifice.

For seven days or longer, he or she will be a global focal point for Lithuanians and those interested in the Lithuanian nation as well as in Lithuania itself.

After that, someone else does the same—but differently.

The idea is to present the Lithuanian nation through the mix of skills, experiences and opinions it actually consists of, as well as by representing Lithuanians wherever they live.

By means of the various curators’ narrations, not one notion of the Lithuanian nation is conveyed, but several.

The objective is that the curators, through their tweets, create interest about the Lithuanians and arouse curiosity for their homeland, Lithuania, and the wide range the country has to offer.

The expectation is that the curators will paint a picture of Lithuanians, different to that usually obtained through traditional media.
