Round-up: World media focuses on why Baltic states anxious about Russia. October 10-20

Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the question “Who is next?” have prompted many international media sources to look at the Baltics.

At The Weekly Standard, Andrew Stuttaford writes about Moscow’s continues pressure on the Baltics.  “[T]he borders,” Stuttaford says, “that separated the Baltics from their old oppressor have lately appeared more vulnerable than once believed.”

Richard Milne and Neil Buckley of The Financial Times continue on this story, noting that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania remain wary that Russia will try to make the region the next conflict hotspot.

New edition of NATO Review Magazine also focuses on the reasons why the Baltics still fear Russia.

Lithuania's Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius joined Richard Quest of CNN to discuss the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

At the European Voice, Linkevicius also argues that in the Ukraine crisis, Europe is repeating mistakes that it has many times before with Russia.
