Vilnius, we have a lift off!

Delayed several times, an Orbital Sciences Corp. Antares rocket carrying first two Lithuanian satellites - LitSat-1 and Lituanica SAT-1 -  blasted off from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia on Thurs., Jan. 9 and climbed into orbit, marking Lithuania's space ambitions and designing its space history.

A journey into space of first Lithuanian satellites is coming up.The launch of satellites "LitSat-1" and "Lituanica SAT-1" will be carried by the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Orbital Sciences Corp., and is scheduled now for January 9th, 2014.
