Indian university gives Lithuanian, Antanas Poska, a posthumous doctorate Featured

The University of Calcutta confered a posthumous doctorate on one of the world's greatest explorers — Lithuanian traveller and anthropologist Antanas Poska - the man who undertook an incredible journey to India on a motor bike all the way from Vilnius in 1929.

The ceremony, held on November 28, 2014, was atteneded by Poska's daughter Laimute Kiseliene.

She spoke to The Times of India about her farther's obsession with India.
